CASC 2009 should be exciting in Jamaica

The leaders in Jamaica have already started looking at ideas for CASC 2009. These leaders are:

  1. Jerome Gayle
  2. Prince McNeish
  3. Kay-Ann Russell-Henry
  4. Adrian Parker
  5. Andrew Christie
  6. Paulette Lascelles
  7. Trishawna Holland

These leaders are already looking at the budget and are also looking at identifying a place for the camp. The following places are being considered:

  1. Mico Teachers Colege
  2. University Technology of Jamaica
  3. G. C. Foster Sports College
  4. Jamaica College
  5. Campion College
St. Joseph Teachers College is unable to host CASC 2009. A number of other institutions also have summer courses so they have indicated that they would not be able to host the camp during the summer.

Already the leaders are looking at some new things for CASC. It is expected that for example the opening ceremony will be beamed live via the Internet. National Directors should be also be able to register their participants and leaders online.

Exciting Trips!!!

Participants could have an exciting time visiting well known tourists spots such as the Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios. They could also possible visit what was once regarded as one of the riches city in the world - Port Royal.

The team is also looking at the possibility of getting concessions for those who would like to be a real tourist and would want to stay in a hotel on the North Coast after CASC.

Participants and leaders of course will find Jamaica an exciting place to shop.

Climbing The Blue Mountain

CASC will be exciting because many will have the chance to climb the highest point in the Caribbean - The Blue Mountains. It should not be too cold up there in the summer though. You will be enchanted by the beauty of the flora and the fauna in the area known to produce the world famous Blue Mountain Jamaica coffee.
